Assignment and execution of jobs out of Teamcenter

The Teamcenter Dispatcher Framework allows the assignment and execution of jobs out of Teamcenter.

The benefits are automatic asynchronous assignment of jobs to machines with free resources, reduction of server capacity and job planning in times with low capacity  utilization.

Fields of use

• Data conversion of 3D/2D data in neutral formats
• Data distribution without giving away original documents
• Generation of visualization data, that can be saved together with the source data

Components

• Scheduler: controls, operates and monitors dispatcher jobs
• Dispatcher Client: interface to Teamcenter
  • Initiates the dispatcher jobs
  • Exports data from Teamcenter
  • Loads results in Teamcenter
• Module: takes over and handles the dispatcher jobs
• Translator: executes the processing jobs

The Siemens package contains the Dispatcher Framework and a few generic translators.

BCT Translators for Teamcenter 8.1+ enhance this package with:

• NX2PDF, NX2TIF: converts NX Draft to PDF resp. to TIF
  • Requires BCT Products for conversion
  • Assemblies and attributes are updated
• SE2PDF, SE2TIF: converts Solid Edge Draft to PDF resp. to TIF
  • Requires Solid Edge without Solid Edge Embedded Client
  • Drawing attributes are updated
• ME2TIF: converts ME10 (Creo Elements/Drafting) to TIF
  • Requires Teamcenter Visualization Convert
