BCT iPDM - the business App to access Teamcenter

BCT iPDM is the first application to search, display and visualize Teamcenter data on the iPad.

Teamcenter, Siemens PLM Software’s digital lifecycle management software, is the world’s most widely-used PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) portfolio.

More than 4 Million Teamcenter licenses have been delivered so far worldwide.

As part of PLM, Teamcenter provides a PDM (Product Data Management) solution which is able to manage product data along the whole lifecycle of a product. Integrated management of revisions and a transparent workflow handling ensures proper lifecycle documentation from the first idea to the final disposal of a product.

BCT iPDM has the ability to access folder structures, items, revisions and the related datasets which describe products across their whole lifecycle. Technical drawings, descriptive documents (e. g. based on commonly used formats like Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel®, Microsoft PowerPoint®, PDF, JPEG and TIFF) can be visualized according to the assigned access rules within Teamcenter. Based on preview images, a fast identification of the designated items is warranted.

Due to the integrated access to the individual home folder, every Teamcenter user finds the well-known data in his personal environment. Frequently used items can be bookmarked for fast and direct access.

With BCT iPDM you can query for Item-ID, Item-Name and item-Description.

No additional server based software except for Teamcenter together with the Teamcenter Web tier is required.

BCT iPDM supports Teamcenter Unified Architecture starting with version TC UA 2007.1 and Teamcenter Express starting with version 4.

BCT iPDM requires either a Teamcenter author or Teamcenter consumer license (Teamcenter licenses are not part of BCT iPDM licenses) and the URL of the Teamcenter web tier.
