Find class

BCT aClass Documentation

The user can find a class using its name, ID or alias from the "Find class" function of the toolbar.

  1. Search criteria
    Search by name, ID, alias or all (Optionally a custom label is available if CUSTOM_CLASS_LABEL is configured)
  2. Search filter
    Enter the search expression (wildcards are allowed). By default all classes are found that contain the search expression. *, ? and "" are supported. (see Definition of the search criteria)
  3. Clear
    Clear the display and the filter
  4. Match count
    Clicking will display the number of matches in the results database (matching classes). The count is displayed in the status bar of the BCT aClass main window
  5. Start search
    Clicking will start the search using the selected criteria and wildcards
  6. Results
    Displays the results of the search
  7.  Sort order
    The found classes will be displayed in alphabetical order

 

A search criteria and a search filter must be defined. After using the "Start search" button a list of the appropriate classes will be displayed. Double-clicking a found class will update the directory tree and the preview with the appropriate class.
